Every two minutes, a woman dies of cervical cancer.
Beyond Rusinga is a documentary film highlighting the realities of cervical cancer and the people who are dedicating their lives to putting an end to this disease. Cervical cancer is the number one cause of cancer-related deaths in developing countries and by 2035 it is expected to be the number one cause of death for women worldwide. The majority of these women live in underserved countries.
This disease is 100% preventable.
This character driven documentary will introduce PINCC, a non-profit organization dedicated to stopping the needless deaths of women across the globe by training medical personnel and creating sustainable programs that will ensure long-lasting cervical dysplasia treatment is available to women everywhere. Dr. Melissa Miskell, a board certified gynecologist and the Executive Director of PINCC, is quickly becoming one of the greatest voices for cervical cancer prevention. Dr. Miskell’s charismatic story and driving determination will be a major stepping stone in bringing an end to cervical cancer.
The story of Beyond Rusinga is more than just one woman’s attempt to help – it is a mission to provide hope for women throughout the globe, as cervical cancer death rates increase in rapid proportions.
